My Tech

I’m tech-centric and continue to update my surroundings with new devices which perform their required duty. Many people ask me about which computer I have, what printer I use, what Mac’s are really like, and why I use a certain brand of AV product. Taking a cue from Paul Thurrot’s SuperSite for Windows, here is a list of my gear, what I use and why.

COMPUTERS

My primary system is hand-crafted. Once a bleeding edge system, now it is relegated to being merely serviceable. Sporting an E8500 Intel Core 2 with 4GB RAM and plenty of space. The recent addition of an Intel 80GB X25-M SSD added some needed speed to the system. For my gaming needs, I run the rock solid Nvidia GTX 295 (single) driving two Dell WF2407 24″ monitors.

On the other side of my desk is an 27″ iMac. I’m an Apple apologist.
