Tomorrow both Roger Clemens and Brian McNamee go before a Senate Committee and testify, under oath, regarding their knowledge of steroid use in baseball. They will also talk about their personal experience with steroids and, interestingly, both parties are at odds with each other’s version of events. Once the dust clears someone is going to be charged with perjury. In the grand scheme of life, the last thing you want is the feds coming after you with a perjury charge.
For my money, I’m thinking Clemens did it. I think he used, I think he improved, and I think the record books favor him...

Well, it was bound to happen. The NFL season has offically come to a close. Th Pro Bowl is the worst entertainment experience related to football, and as one sports pundit put it, “They should take that dog behind the shed and put it down for good!” I must agree. Sure, the accolade of being selected to the Pro Bowl is fine, but of all the major sport “All Star” games, football’s is the most meaningless. Really have to questions both Tom Brady and Randy Moss for not showing up. Well, Moss I could see, but Brady? C’mon, now. You just set the NFL season record for...

It has been a little over 2 days since the kick off of Superbowl XLII and I still find myself in awe of the result. From my perspective, this was one of the greatest Superbowl games in modern history; not because of the pace the game, but more to do with the stage upon which it was set.
Tom Brady and the Patriots had a chance to do the impossible. To complete a 19-0 season, winning every game on the schedule, and them some. Bill Belichick, coach of the Patriots, can scheme and game plan like few others. Surely, with two weeks of prep, the Patriots could wither and strangle the Giants while placing Eli...

What can I say. I’m an avid football watcher. Well, truth be told, I play fantasy football more than I actually watch football. I tend to default to the position of having to watch only those games that effect my chances to win on any given week. That probably ruined my football watching. Well, the fact my beloved San Francisco 49ers haven’t done so well lately has a lot to do with the demise of football watching. However, as a Niner faithful, I wait patiently for a resurgence, and perhaps even another Superbowl. But I digress.
Superbowl 42 will either be the crowning acheivement of the...

Well, the Superbowl has been set. The Patriots will take on the Giants in two weeks. What can I say, I’m underwhelmed. I’m pretty convinced the NFL season has been over since the Patriots actually went undefeated during the regular season: the Patriots will go 19-0 and set a new benchmark on the perfect season. However, if there was a team that was suited to at least challenge the Patriots in the big game, the Giants are it.
It wasn’t the Chargers, they were busted and too broken. It wasn’t the Packers, because they don’t have a defense that could keep up with the Patriots...
