One thing which I was looking forward to while away was the release of the iPhone 3G. England has an amazing road system. Really. If I were to create a country named, um, nothing witty jumps to mind, I would model the road system after the English. Why? Because it works, and it works well. The English road system consists of clearly marked and well maintained roads, strict speed limits, and drivers who pay attention. Oh, one more thing, they have no stop signs in England. Intersections are mostly handled by round-abouts. Not the US version with strict lanes of travel as you drive around the circle. We just got back from our much needed vacation which consisted of several flights, two countries, and many souvenirs. I won’t bore you with the details, suffice to say we had a great time. Here’s a quick thumbnail of the trip. We arrived in Heathrow Airport, London, England and were met by friends. After catching up on a little sleep, we began our day-trips into London.
